Today is the official launch of my author website (as you can hopefully tell). Needless to say, much flailing and shrieking and excitement has been happening. Along with much work and photos and brainstorming.
(Shout out to my epic sisters Clareβ€”who took my photoβ€”and Aliceβ€”who did most of the actual website making, I just told her what to do.)

Many of you have probably at least stalked my blog, and it might seem odd that I’m moving over from my little three-year-old blog to a full-on website. But I have several reasons.

a) after killing my brain to try and think up an author tagline, it would be a pity not to use it somewhere.
b)Β as I pursue traditional publishing in the future, the publishers will want to know what sort of platform I have. A website is not only a platform (because all you wonderful people like reading my rambles apparently?) but it would also show them that I’m actually serious about this writing thing.
c) I’m officially offering out my content editing services, and to do that I needed a professional website page to manage it on.

Now, after many days of pouring over details and wording and photos and taglines (with a lot of help from family) I think I’m ready to let you all see my work.

And I’m absolutely freaking out.
But all the freaking out aside, I’m also really excited.

In addition to having a brand new website, you might notice the newsletter sign up on the sidebar. I’ll be sending out the first newsletter on Wednesday next week so if you sign up before then you’ll be able to be one of the lucky receivers of my very first attempt! And there may or may not be a surprise reward to anyone who signs up… πŸ˜›

If anyone read that title very closely (or the post I did on my old blog), you would’ve seen that I still have one very important topic to address. *drumroll* THE GIVEAWAY!

In celebration, I’m giving away a paperback copy of the winner’s choice betweenΒ Heartless (Tales of Goldstone Wood #1, Anne Elisabeth Stengl) andΒ A Wish Made of GlassΒ (Ashlee Willis).
