7 Releases I Can’t Wait For In 2020

It’s that time of year, folks. The time when I squeal about all of my most anticipated upcoming releases!!!

I have a confession to make: most of these books are releasing from Enclave Publishing. Am I a fan of theirs? Maybe. We’ll never know. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel like there’s so many other releases coming up that I’ve forgotten about, but these are the main ones! And the ones I actually remembered, ahahah, so I guess that means I’m more excited about these. 😂

The titles link to the Goodreads pages of each book if you want to read the full blurb!

The Vault Between Spaces | February

This is a…contemporary fantasy ish story about a mysterious young girl who ends up in the worst, most formidable prison: HopeWell. What starts off as a prison break, however, becomes a mission to stop the invasion of evil itself.

I’m actually currently reading an e-ARC of this book, and it’s so good! It started off a bit slow and I wasn’t 100% convinced, but the tension in this story is insane. It’s so intense. I can’t wait to see how it ends!

For Whom the Sun Sings | March

The world is blind…then one boy is born with sight.

Just the title of this book catches my eye! It’s so intriguing and I want to know moooore. The basic premise also sold me. Why is everyone blind? Why is one boy born with sight? What crazy stuff goes down inside these pages??

The ancient fantasy feel of this story and cover has me so interested to know what’s inside.

Mortal Sight | April

Cera has visions of monsters. Then one day a girl she knows is murdered by one of those monsters.

This story sounds similar to the Angel Eyes trilogy which I really loved! The supernatural battle, the girl who can see it happening when no one else can. Then she has to decode a message hidden in classic literature? I’m down for whatever this story has to offer. 😱

Moonscript | May

Squeeeaalling over this one forever, because I’ve read it already several times and it’s SO GOOD.

This is a story of an elf prince, long lost to the darkest torment, thought dead by his people. And the story of the young orphan girl and how she, and a motley band of others, unexpectedly find their fates intertwined with this prince. The story of light and dark, hope and despair, hurt and healing.

It’s just so incredibly beautiful and I can’t wait for it to be out in the world and for everyone else to read it.

The Story Hunter | May

The third and final book in the Weaver Trilogy is nearly here!! I won’t put any description of this book up because spoilers! But I’m soooo excited to read this. It’s going to be amazing and I will probably cry.

I’m not sure how I feel about this trilogy ending though. I’m not ready! 😭😭

My Calamity Jane | June

I was gifted My Plain Jane and My Lady Jane for Christmas and I’m so excited to dive into them! They’re basically historical fantasy comedy retellings of Jane Eyre and Lady Jane Grey. And My Calamity Jane is, obviously, Calamity Jane retold!

I just know I’m going to love these stories so much.

Dust | July

I will be screaming over this cover and photo until further notice. It’s just so beautiful!!!

Dust is a retelling/sequel of Peter Pan. Claire Kenton doesn’t believe in magic, and Peter Pan is locked out of Neverland and hunted by his own Lost Boys.

I love Peter Pan stories, and this one looks like it’s going to be so much fun, but also so intense and insane and gloriously magical.

And that gets us to the middle of the year somehow!! So much gorgeous bookishness. 😍

Come tell me what books you are most excited for this year! Are any of these ones on your TBR?

Jane Maree

Jane Maree

Jane Maree is an Australian writer, adventurer at heart, beloved daughter of the King of Kings, and believer in at least six impossible things before breakfast. Raised on fairy tales, scraped knees, and makeshift swords, she has yet to outgrow any of them. In her day job, Jane teaches music and freelances as an editor, but by night she crafts daring stories of broken heroes overcoming extraordinary odds.
